Yes, once again, like for the P-47, the P-40 and the Buffalo, will we need a minor lamp to fly the Ki-84, the Zero and the Mustang.

Please, betatesters, can you test the cockpit lighting on more different monitors. On mine (a calibrated monitor), I can see nothing in these cockpits, it's too dark. And please, don't say it's accurate for cockpits with black panels, it's not true.

Cheers,

It would be a pity not to be able to see these beautifully modeled cockpits!

Isn't there a standard monitor calibration target for all 3d developers?

I turn my Contrast and Brightness all the way up. It's okay then, and this won't hurt the landscape either.

Then I exit to FMB and get blinded so I turn it down again. Makes you want one of the old monitors with fast turning knob controls.

Some monitors come from the factory with brightness set too low on the main circuit board. A tech can fix it in about 5 minutes. Before that adjustment most games were too dark to play on my monitor.

My monitor is perfectly calibrated, I've a friend, working in the graphic edition, who comes at home from time to time to calibrate my monitor with a strange equipement!

No, these cockpits are really too dark, I don't think it's correct not being able to see the structure of the cockpit parts.

Looking at your signature I get the impression that the fix was overdone. You probably have the darkest sig pic in this forum. Could it be that your monitor is too bright now?

BTW I'll have to open my monitor and look for that hidden control...

Good remark, the Corsair in the Tully's sig looks like a night-fighter variant, at least on my CALIBRATED monitor /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
