Playing the (BoE) Preparing the Invasion campaign, I often see friendly flights that remain close to the northern map edge. They don't join up my (strike) flight and they don't react when I request help from ground control. My flight then ends up having to fight the Germans at 1:1 or worse odds. Is this normal?

Do you have 2.04 installed? That's been an issue, the passive friendly AI.

Something is wrong here. I've loaded a mission into the editor - you can get it at http://adria.fesb.hr/~crozic/IL-2/
The escort flight's path was properly plotted. When I played it, the escort planes broke off very early and headed straight west. I replayed the mission, this time 4 out of 6 escort P-47 broke off, and the remaining 2 performed the assigned escort duty.
