I recently asked Pat 09 if he had some updated specs and this is what he had to say: (I thought I'd post it here for people to ask questions, if any, rather that just in the announcements forum)

quote:
PIII 700 mhz
128 Mb Ram - 256 Mb on XP
32 Mb video card
Nvidia Geforce 1, 2, 3, 4, FX
Ati 7000-9800
Matrox Parehlia
Intel i865G - intel i915G
DVD Reader
Win 98, Win Me, Win 200, Win XP

G4 667 Mhz or +
128 Mb Ram +
32 Mb video card
Nvidia Geforce 2, 4, FX
Ati 7500-9600
DVD reader
OSX 10.2 (jaguar) or better

And there will be a short demo (200 megs) and a long demo (600 megs). There 2 demos are very close in content, but one contains a rather heavy additional cinematic (and an extra node).

Looks like the specs aren't AS strict as they were for Uru and the demo info sounds awesome! I'll keep you posted as to when the demo will be released. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the update, Pat 09! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

HORRIBLE! FORGET IT! THOSE SPECS ARE TOO HIGH FOR A SLIDE SHOW, THERE IS NO WAY I'LL EVER BUY THIS!!

I'm sure, out there somewhere, someone wants to say that. So there you go, it's said. Now, there's a rock around here somewhere for people who have not bought a new computer since 1997. All I can say is it's time to upgrade.

Those are some pretty easy specs, can't wait. I wonder if performance improves on faster systems?

No doubt. I bet the better specs you have, the sharper you can make the graphics & sound, just like in Uru.

Darn, I was hoping for an excuse to upgrade my Radeon 7000. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Ageless, Faceless, Gender-neutral, Cultural-ambigous Adventure Person, my old computer seems to be able to handle Revelation!

And, though I'm sure elsewhere on this site someone is talking about the demos, I'm kind of disappointed that the small demo came out first... as it's very small http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I would have loved the 600MB version first, for the true supporters (Or at least, those with a lot of patience / broadband connection / GetRight) and then the 191MB version later...
