A question for the real pilots here (no insult intended)

Is a Split S simply a reverse Immelman? Half roll, half loop as opposed to a half loop, half roll? One goes down, the other goes up?

I do those all the time. It's called a Hammerass. You know you've performed it correctly when you hear the boom >8)

You put me in the situation where I do not know what to say, either /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif or /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, like a reverse Immelman. 90% of the time one will not do. How to perform it efectively? Im still lerning. Some times i get exited and pull on the stick to hard and stall.
Im not shure if it's more evective if you use combat flaps in the begining of the turn or i guess that would depend on how fast you are going.
Hope this helps and im shure others will have some good tips on how to perform it efectively.

Silent out.....
