Announcing UQMM - UberQuick Mission Manager

This is work in progress; final set of features are subject to change. This should help users who are not FMB savvy enjoy IL-2/FB/AEP more than ever.

The application will be imbedded within UQMG so that you do not need to do a separate installation, but it will function separately from UQMG.

It's your work that takes up for the slack of the stock GUI, Sir, which, IMHO, is the place where the IL2 series has always been lacking.

Hey Uberdemon, I just downloaded your mission generator the other night so I could easily generate quick missions for coop with a friend of mine.

My idea was that i wanted something like the quick mission editor, but for multiplay. Your generator fit the bill nicely, but with one problem.

Flights Are a bit longer than we'd like. What we were hoping for, were missions that put us right in the action (like the default quick mission generator, which started you out a minute away from your enemy).

Would it be possible to add an option for this in your generator? You could keep all your current templates, just add an option to air start at say, waypoint #5 (or the one closest to the enemy), for both teams, so we can get right into the action.

We don't mind the flight home to base, as it's fun trying to get back home with battle damage and whatnot. Besides, you have to fly back home in the default quick mission anyway.

Wow, sounds great. I manually move the original IL-2 single missions and campaigns to FB/AEP whenever I reinstall FB/AEP after a new patch comes out anyway, but your Special Features will make it a "one-click" operation !

My one wish : is there anyway to integrate your UQMG into the game, so that we can run it from within FB/AEP itself ? Sort of like "DGEN replace mode" of Lowengrin's DCG.

As long as you do not check the "Custom Start Location" for each team, you will start the flight on the combat zone.

If you click it, and then go to the flight editor, you will see the "Flight Takeoff & Spawn Behavior" box, and that will give you some choices.

Basically, each set of flights either start on air, somewhat close to the action , or around the base, either from the ground or flying.

I thought of your idea of having the distance option, but with the templates being the way they are, it would take a serious re-write of the engine, it would also mess up the targeting, as well as the behavior of composite flights (Mistel, Tug/Gliders, and SPB Zveno).
