Nvidia released a new driver today. In his words, it boosts Assassin's Creed Unity performace. Look this chart, avaliable in Nvidia's site:

Performance gains comparing driver 347.25 to 347.52 and normalized using the latest game patches.

If anyone saw any improvements, please write below!

Download MSI Afterburner or any software that controls the fan and set custom curve for temp/fan speed ratio.

In reality, Unity should not even need such a performance boost to run good.

This update should do any good to a low level card like mine? (I have a 750 Ti). It seems to have improvements only on the 9xx cards.

Wow Nvidia are late bringing out the card killer driver this year... Last year they had the awful 332.21 out in January ;) at least we can use 3rd party software to protect ourselves from the software they supply to run their hardware.

Let's hope it is not another 320.18

I have a GTX 970.. I can confirm.. my FPS at notre dame is never below 57 now.. With previous drivers it might slide to around 48 at notre dame.. So overall throughout the game.. now its 57-60 FPS.. the game is perfect at the following settings
Textures/Environment : Ultra
Shadows High
Bloom : on
AA : FXAA
lighting : HBAO +

I also saw a 5FPS increase in framerate with the latest drivers. Also, stuttering seems to have declined to a minimum.

Seems like Nvidia did their job and released optimised drivers for Unity. Too bad for Ubisoft and their employees, they won't be able to point fingers to Nvidia anymore when they are faced with the fact that their game runs like a complete piece of ****.

Is anyone else having overly high fan speeds? I generally don't like tinkering with things like overclocking and fan speeds.

If they did then this improvement with the latest Nvidia driver proofs they were right blaming bad driver support doesn't it.. Just to bad it took so long for Ubisoft and Nvidia together to fix it.. Because in reality whatever went wrong, they are both to blame imho..

I bought and played UInity only after patch 4 was released, so I cannot judge how it was running before, but I never had any real performance issues with the game expect for the occasional total freeze up for a few seconds after which the game continues like normal.. Hopefully that problem is fixed now aswell, we'll see soon enough after I played the game with this new driver for a while..

I'm using a MSI GTX 780 Gaming OC.. On a Intel 3570K(@4.2Ghz), 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz on Windows 7 64bit.. Game installed and running on a "normal "hardrive, not my SSD..

Nvidia did their part and the game still runs like ****. It's Ubi's turn to work on the game now, but as experience has taught us, now that they have pocketed our money, they wont even bother.

Yes the fans speed up for me... plus I tried the geforce experience and got that problem as well... there's a thread on the geforce forum listing all the problems....it's already 14 pages long :D

Oh its nice! Believe me its great - because on my 780 its fall down to 18fps in Luxemburg palace, Theater cafe etc, but in other parts of Paris FPS 30-48.If you want test your fps run story mission when cargo is burned and there is a lot of fire everywhere i would love to see FPS on your 970.

that might be down to your system spec or your settings or other programs :(

you should be getting more than that if your ram and cpu are good... and you are not using AA above FXAA and other higher settings... also things like fraps and other software in the background can cause drops in FPS

Well, I gave in, and installed it. I didn't notice any difference on the FPS on Unity, using my GTX 750 Ti.

Mine running at 2560x1600 all set to MAX except shadows to HIGH instead of PCSS, and FXAA instead of TXAA.
