View Full Version : Damage to Airbases needs attension

This has probably been brought up before but I thought it might need bringing up again. So I appologise before hand.

It there a way for incorporate damage to airbases when we run a DF or Coop mission? Just about everything else show damage but our airbases. Something needs to be done so when we bomb the runways, aprons, taxiways, ect., the bombcraters show and stay showing. It sure would make for more realism in a Campaign and make you find a new base to operate out of until it's repaired.

Everyone is so worried about a/c in the expansion pack and various other things, and some that are real petty, that no one is even concerned that damage to an airbase's runways never happens. Too bad it didn't work that way in real life. I quess bombers never bombed airbases during WWII. Wrong guys. This is one of the most important parts missing in FB and should have been in the sim from the start.

That'd be great and would add a nice tactical nature to dogfight servers. Example - Two enemy airbases, one hosts the fighters and one hosts the ground attack aircraft. Dogfight can be won by eliminating a certain amount of tanks on each side, etc. So you round up a few Thunderbolts, a few Butcherbirds, maybe a few HE-111 even and carpet bomb the runways and taxi-ways of ground attack aircraft airbase.
