Sorry man, but whether they allowed DX10 hardware or not, it wouldn't have mattered. No DX10 graphics card has the raw power or VRAM to run this game, not Radeon 4890, not GeForce GTX 285, not even the dual GPU variants. It's a sad moment that comes for every piece of hardware when they can no longer run the latest games, and now (2015) it seems to it have come for those 2008. and 2009. cards.

DX11 is around since late 2009. What are you on about?

So what ??? I all the same, just that so hard to add support for DX10, or UPISOFT believes that everyone has already DX11, just infuriates such dibilno opinion developers !!!

Support for a wide variety of versions of DirectX is not just flipping a few bits in the game source code,. Had Ubisoft decided to support technology as far back as DX9, it would have been significant work and cost, and I am sure the DX9 version would have had degraded graphics quality and lowered FPS. Gaming with cutting edge games on deprecated hardware is just not going to happen.

That being said, I think in the near future we will see this type of problem solved by gaming cloud services -- with the rendering being done on hardware in a cloud and the end user just needs a card that can do streaming video. Until that day comes, you need GPU hardware that is relatively recent and powerful to run leading edge 3D games and there is no amount of blaming developers that can change that.

People want better graphics but refuse to upgrade hardware, right very logical.

DX11 is supported since GTX 400 series and AMD HD 5000, thats 5 years ago, so it has been a long while for these cards and even with those cards, the game will not run properly as they are outdated.

And yes its very hard to add support for DX10 since this game is built on top of DX11 and all features require DX11, if they want to make it backward compatible, they will have to strip alot of things and take alot of time which is not logical and waste of time and effort since you need GTX 680 as min requirement, thats DX11.
