View Full Version : vid card upgrade? FX or GF4-TI

i want to upgrade my current vidcard witch is a FX5200U should i go with a GF4 TI4800 or a FX5900U/FX5950U??? i want to stick with NVIDIA so no just get a ATI card post please

A Ti4800 is just a Ti4600 with 8x AGP interface. The FX5900/5950 is a DirectX 9 capable card, and a LOT more expensive. It is more capable though, if you want all the bells and whistles to work on all your games for the next couple of years, that should be your choice.

Your money, tho.

I`m ATI kinda guy, but i say 5700 Ultra and up would be a good choice if you like nVidia

tanks guys i didnt know witch was suposed to be more powerful the GF4's or the FX's i know the 5950 is exspensive but i was gonna wait till the price comes down to about 200-250

5900 XT

almost same as 5900 but half the price.
Better than everything below 5900
