I don't think they were "cluster bombs" but rather standard bombs with small parashutes on the tail of them. The shute was intended to slow the bomb down so it wouldn't explode directly under the plane that dropped it in low level attacks.

They where anti-personel bombs dropped from extreme low level "treetop level" attacks on Japanese(Air)Bases
USAAF and Dutch Indies B-25's operating from Australia used this bomb to attack airbases and destroy crew and parked Aircraft with shrapnell.

The B-25 was the most hated medium bomber by the Japanese occupiyng forces.

absolutely correct.and i am going to be so busy creating so many of these missions when PF is out with B25's and BEAUFIGHTERS that my wife will beg me for a divorce and the dog will have to go to the loo on his own.
