    Could anyone help me out please.... when i load up my game everything is perfect, but when i play the game most of the graphics are white, the buildings are white, anyone got hints,ive upgradeed all drivers

    Post your dxdiag information, please. Then we'll see what your computer has eaten.

    1. Click start, then run, then type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and press enter.

    2. Once the tool loads, click the "save all information" button at the bottom of the window.

    3. Save that file somewhere on your hard drive that you can find, then you can open the file in notepad and cut and paste that information into a reply to this post.

    Post the whole text. It's long, but that's ok.

    To do dxdiag,
    1. Go to start,run, type in dxdiag
    2. Click on Save All Information, and save the file to your desktop.
    3. Open the file in wordpad, and copy/paste it here (thx SG)

    This is your Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) change below as I have said and this games requires a minimum of 16 MB of ram your showing 8 MB of graphics ram which is below the required level. You may wish to up-grade your card.

    Lower Graphics Settings

    Start the game and click "options" then click the "gameplay" tab. Switch off show intro movie/show dead bodies/record games

    Now click the "graphics tab and make sure your screen "RES" is set to ( 800 x600 x 16 bit ) and the Z-Buffer Depth is set to 16 bit.

    Turn Mipmap off and make vehicle shadows none and human shadows none. Turn maximum bullets down to 1

    Also GR runs better if your desktop "RES" is also set and matches the game "RES".

    You may wish to lower other graphic settings to medium but do the above first and try it before lowering to many graphic settings.

    Hello Snipe,

    I have the sim. problem as Belfast. I did follow all your instructions however I keep getting the white characters and maps (this is only in IT, GR and DS work fine). I have done the same and run the dxdaig program. Can you help me here? Whenever I am playing in a lobby and the switch to IT I have to bail out.

    Lower Graphics Settings

    Start the game and click "options" then click the "gameplay" tab. Switch off show intro movie/show dead bodies/record games

    Now click the "graphics tab and make sure your screen "RES" is set to ( 1024 x 768 16) and the Z-Buffer Depth is set to 16 bit.

    Turn Mipmap off and make vehicle shadows none and human shadows none. Turn maximum bullets down to 1

    Also GR runs better if your desktop "RES" is also set and matches the game "RES".

    You may wish to lower other graphic settings to medium but do the above first and try it before lowering to many graphic settings.


    Up date your graphic drivers to 45.23 from the below link.

    Go here http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp and download the latest Nvidia Graphics Drivers WHQL certified.

    Check and update your sound drivers.

    Ensure you uninstall the old graphic drivers from the add/remove program before you install the new drivers and it will be in 256 colours until you install the new ones. Save the drivers to disk and install from there. Get back to us and lets us know how it went.

    I think this may be something simpler.

    In the nVidia control panel, there is an option called "fog table emulation" or some such (I don't have access to my gaming machine at the moment). Check the box, and try from there, as I recall.

    Your DXDiag says that your video card (which I think is onboard video) has only 8MB of memory. I thought the minimum for GR was 16MB. Do as Snipe suggested - turn everything down to minimum. But start with 640x480 resolution and go up from there. I remember having an 8MB Matrox m3D and some games could run at 1024x768 while others couldn't.

    The "whiteness" you're getting is a direct result of your graphics adapter not have having enough room (memory) to store textures.
