Thread: Sunrise? | Forums

Does anyone know what exact time sunrise occurs on the Kuban map? If so, can you tell me? If you can tell me, what is it?

(Does it vary from map to map?)

I'd say you could find it out quite quickly yourself by changing the time in the Full Mission Builder and going to the 3D view. Or do you really want a very accurate number based on the actual scientific definition of sunrise?

Yields approximately 5:08am on the Kuban map.

Elapsed time in mission: approximately 9 minutes

Yes, further north makes sunrise earlier on Summer maps, later on Winter maps.

Thanks guys. I was going to bed and I thought I'd ask in case someone had a list. My next step was to try what you guys suggested. Thanks.

Also you can start the mission online and use the "tod" time of day command line.
load mission
bring up the chat window
use the "shift" and "period" keys together
type: tod 5 <this is 5 am
press enter key
the time of day changes you can use the 24 hour clock to test this ie: 23:30 & 11:30
press backspace to exit the command window, you can use this when hosting to adjust the misson tod gives your fellow pilots a shock if you sudenly change the tod to 1 am lol.

Be careful doing this as an online host. Changes of more than a few minutes tend to cause everyone in the server to suffer a Looooonnnnngggg pause. You should warn before applying.

The constant time of day script can do it without pauses because it does a "back one minute" change every minute. Since the time change is negligible the pause is no more than a normal spawn pause.

The advice was intended to be for just tod testing for sunrise online with just the host.

As i never host DF only coop the tod change will dramatically change a mission, I make missions that allow the tod key to be used, searchlights etc, this makes one mission able to be completly changed just by the tod.
Obviously at the COOP mission start pilots are advised on comms or via the chat window whats happening.
