    I have to have someone with the M-24 and someone with the M-249 on my squad. If you think these aren't good weapons, you have to play with them all the way through a campaign. The M-24 starts cycling faster and the M-249 gets more accurate (especially if you fire in five to ten round bursts). I've beat the campaign on expert several times with just these two guns and a demo expert when needed. I like them because they are REAL rifles currently in use by the US Military. We used them to kick Sadam's butt!

    Why don't you use the M-16? And yes the M-249 is the best support gun in the game, nothing beats it.

    the PKM is better, IMO

    oh yeah, how could i forget the minigun...

    M60 hits hard and sharp.
    M249 seems weak at times with me.

    The MG3 is the best.

    You can blanket them in bullets.

    Dont think so, the MG3 is a very accurate weapon if used correctly. Pull the trigger on and off like crazy and you can send about 7 rounds in the same place at like 150 yds away, hard thing to do, but easier with experience.

    BTW, one rd with an MG3 and your usually done, i believe the caliber is a bit larger than the M60 since its based on a german round?
