    Hi.

I just downloaded the demo version of URU. I'd like to make the game work before I purchase it. I have a couple of video problems. One, many of the objects in the URU world are all white, like the fences and the plants. Secondly I am getting some texture ripping.
I've looked through the forums and I can't seem to fix the problems with the advice given.
I'm posting my system specs below (from running the dxdiag). Please help if you can, I am a big fan of the Myst series and would love to make this work.

    Thanks, Brent.

There are issues with ATI GPU's in the full version, (and presumably the demo) but they are described as being related to the Radeon line, not FireGL. Of course they probably weren't expecting the game to be played on graphics workstations.

Have you tried disabling full screen anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering as well as reducing resolution and textures in the Uru Setup Sscreen?

Yes. I've lowered all the settings to their minimum and the problem persists. I've also downloaded the latest driver for the card.

Can you think of anything else?

    Thanks, brent

Possibly a disparity between Primary and Secondary device resolutions? Can you disable the Secondary when running Uru?

As a side note, those types of adapters hate 16 bit rendering - I would stick with 32 bit.

Another thought is the difference between desktop and game resolution. Maybe bringing them closer together?

    Perfect!

Thanks. I disconnected the second monitor, and now it works beautifully. It even runs smoothly with all the settings all the way up.

    Thanks again!
