    Ok guys, my first post on this forum, sorry to beat what is probably a dead horse, but Im having problems with thermal vision. Ive read many threads that discuss how running on a laptop may cause it to not run well, but I can run it fine, just with low detail, also this is unrelated to those problem. Also this is the demo, it may have been fixed in the full version or a patch, please tell me if this is true.

    The problem is that whenever I use thermal vision, it makes the walls and object a bright, solid, fuzzy blue, while making people and warm objects a solid color, varying between a bright red and a green. In the screenshots I have seen, it shows people as being blue and green, while the background is a light color(cant remember it exactly). I have a GeForce 2 32meg with the latest drivers and directX 9.0. Is there anyway that I can get this Blue/Green thermal effect? Also, should I be able to see through more than just windows with thermal? I thought that I could see through walls, but they are a solid blue as I said and cant be seen through.

    I've had the same problem with getting the wierd thermal effect in the demo on a GeForce2. Does anyone know if this was fixed in the full version?

    Well actually, I can't say that your video card is supported. You have an integrated version of the GF2 and the actual name of the card is not among the supported. But before you give up all hope, go to the nvidia website and download the 41.09 drivers. You have 44.09 which is some sort of beta driver that is not an official driver.

    Ha, yeah, I noticed that it wasnt technically on the list, but it runs Splinter Cell, so I guess its close enough. I tried going back to the 41.09 and got the same effect, just with slower framerates. But one thing I would like to know is if people with GeForce2s and the full version get this same thermal effect or if it is like the screenshots on the splintercell homepage?

    Try the 44.03 drivers and directx 9.0b.

    Ok, I just did that, same thing as with the 41.09. Thanks again for the help, but what I probably need most is someone with a GeForce 2 and the full version, again what I'm getting is just on the demo. Hopefully if its changed since demo2 for other 2's it will work on this. I would just like to know what to expect before I get the game.

    You should be seeing blue/green/red heat signatures, but for that low-end card you may not be able to. As for the seeing through walls, you can only see through THIN walls, not thick concrete walls.
