Hi. i know that hiding in plants is possible.

but would hiding in shadows (aka splinter cell) be possible?

i know the game does dynamic shadows.

it would add a great deal to multiplayer but despite mucking about with the editor i have no idea how this coud be implemented?

    Hey,

Not when people over clock their monitor brightness so they can see specifically in shadows (or they have a script that auto-adjusts it) so it's pointless.

    Thanks,

    This is what we're doing...

The character model will have an animation set that is the same model but semi-transparant, this is a skill of the character and will be triggered by a key not by being in shadows etc but makes it much harder to see both in shadows and in brush but you can still see them when they're out in the open.

This 'skill' will of course slow them down and stop any attacks or swimming etc.

It'd be really cool to have AI react more realisticly to you being behind cover like shadows or bushes.
