Thread: How to speed up panning with hat switch? | Forums

  1. #1
Does anyone know how to speed up the panning with the hat switch on both internal and external views. I know that using the mouse in internal views is much quicker than the hat switch but need three arms to use joystick, mouse and keyboard at the same time.
    Thanks

hehe, interesting. I would like to slow down paning in the cockpit on my X45 Hat. Is it possible to fix both?

I've got to start somewhere. I've got to start sometime. I'll do it with LO:MAC

I made my Mouse Hat my POV instead of Hat1. I did make mine faster by mapping it to a 8-button hat and then assigned each respective with the proper key plus addedthe shift to make it faster, for example, Up left would be 'Shift + Keypad9'. This worked, BUT and a big BUT, my system would crash everytime I used it. I think that it has something to do with the video card not be able to read that fast or something, their was a post early on this exact subject. So, you can try and see what happens, but I went back to the old slow head method to avoid the crashes. G/L.

    RIGHT!!!
The X45 simulates keyboard -> that means if you set keyboard speed to LOW or HI (repeating rate) you can adjust the paning speed. I guest it should work.

    GERRY:

You can try this, I did it just now with no crash problems. Just make your right and left keys fast and leave the rest normal. (Shift+4 and Shift+6) 'Cause basically that is all that I am looking to do is to get a quick look to the left or right.

The Ctrl+Shift thing doesn't work properly for some reason. It doesn't speed up the external views any, and it doesn't really seem that much faster in the cockpit view. Hmmm. Gonna test somemore.
