    I know this has been talked about before.. but something has to be done! I know they said that if the gun/frag lock bugs weren't fixed in this patch that they wouldn't try to fix it again, but I can't let it go like that.

    It seems to me now that gun/frag locks are occurring more then ever before. Why? They seem to happen in matches more then in public servers. Why?

    Not only are they very annoying and cause a round to be restarted in a match, but they start to make bad feelings between teams competing. One team is getting a bug every round, and the other thinks that the first team is stalling or just attempting to get better positioning.

    This is a serious bug, I hope, with some support from fellow players, that UBI look into this again.

    Well if you really think about it, not THAT many people get the bugs. I have only had the bug I believe twice and once was on a server were I lagged out.

    I used to think that too, exactly the same thing.. and in public servers.. (which are usually high-speed good quality servers) I don't get the bug.. I still don't get the bug that often. Three times in a 2 hour match last night, but my teammates getting it round after round and often we find out at a critical moment and it costs us the round.

    but come time for a match and you enter someone's home server or whatever.. Bugs like crazy! Like literally every round for 4-5 rounds.. then stops for a round and back again.

    I think fragbugs are caused when people mess with the server too much, and dont allow for normal operations.

    Bugs happens more in matches because of restarting rounds ect when everyone is holding their trigger down. Just my own opinion.

    In ladder matches maps are changed and restarted alot more often then pubs, hence the bugs.

    Just my observation/opinion. I usually try to keep my lagtests about 30 seconds long and i dont restart unless everyone stops holding the damn trigger down.

    I find that when primary bug happens it happens 2 or 3 rounds in a row.

    Either way, Ubi has decided to never touch the frag lock/ladder lock issue again whether in RvS or in Athena Sword (yes it's an add-on pack but I heard they did some updating to the engine...). They said it was taking up too much of their resources which could be better spent improving other aspects of the game. I can't wait for the new changes. The 1.51 peak glitch is still here and now I'm suffering from lock up whenever I get hit. It was mentioned a new patch is on the way, though there's no telling when it'll be here. Athena Sword is less than 2 weeks away. Can't wait for that either.

    I found that fewer "bugs" happen if you let the lag test round or any round for that matter run for 30 seconds or more before you do a restart.

    I heard about the idea that restarting a server caused the bugs, so I've been keeping an eye on that and have noticed that the bugs have occurred just as often when the game goes live right from the start without a restart.
    I also have wondered if too many changes to a server have caused it, but my server runs pretty much stock. I have made no changes and still people have complained of bugs.

    Like it was mentioned once, I think it does have something to do with quality of server and it's speed. A lot of matches run on slower home based servers and that's where we frequently find the most bugs.

    I think it's important and shouldn't be dropped as an issue. I'm constantly finding in matches that teams are bickering about the frag bug, thinking the other team is making fake bug calls to restart the round.

    CKA Vicious, i dont know what ladder matches you have been playing. 99% of the matches i have participated in, are hosted by a company. Home based servers were back in rogue spear. Almost all matching servers are hosted by companies.

    I think its because of poor quality servers. Even the game company servers can be bad. We went through three professional game hosting companies before we finally got a server that was fast and stable. The first two were "OC192", but they still lagged badly and caused all sorts of problems. The third one has been great, no lag, and we never get frag, ladder, or trigger lock unless the person fires his gun after the round ends. There are some clan servers that we go into and bug constantly- especially servers that have been modified too much.
