    Hi Guys,


    Thanks for reporting issues as you find them - however please do remember, we do need some specific information to report the problems to the team, so please do remember to check this thread for details:

    Important! - please read before posting!


    This thread will be updated from time to time when we have news to share about the main issues, so please do check this thread for any updates.

    At present, since the forums are VERY busy, there maybe some delay in posting new items to the thread, though please rest assured, solving your problems and updating you are our main concerns!

    The dev team are working on some updates to the servers regarding connecting to online game modes - the following will be displayed, if you have a incompatible NAT type in Multiplayer:



    If you see that - you need to adjust settings on your router and turn on UPnP - it's a single setting which will allow any game to work by opening any ports required by games - details on how to do this, vary, so please check with either your ISP or hardware manufacturer.

    “Vista SP1 or higher required” error message when launching the game, even though the OS is Vista SP1 or higher.
    [Status] In order to fix this, go to the game installation folder.
    Right click the Watch_Dogs.exe and click Properties.
    Click on the Compatibility tab.
    Check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” checkbox, and select Vista SP1, SP2 or Windows 7 in the list.



    Error 5-0x00000104:

    [Status] The issue has been reported and is being investigated.

    [Possible fix:] If you have Hamachi installed on your PC - or other Virtual VPN - please uninstall it. If you have more than one LAN adaptor - please disable any extra ones other than your main internet connection - some have found that disabling extra LAN adaptors, it has solved the issue.

    If it does not help, or you are on console - please contact support directly, so they have a log of your problem and they will forward it to the team for further investigation.

    [Status] You should make sure to install the Catalyst 14.4 drivers that fix this crash.
    Please check AMD has released 14.4 on Vista, this may be an issue.

    [SOLVED]PS4 digital pre-order Licensing / Unlock issue:

    UPDATED - MAY 28: [Status] SOLVED The Sony and Watch_Dogs teams were working continuously on this issue yesterday. As of last night, all of the pending pre-orders had been fulfilled and corrected - all users who were pending payment should now have the licence to play their purchased game.
    - Sony exclusive DLC keys in retail boxes are NOW WORKING.
    - Season Pass codes distributed in retail stores are NOW WORKING.

    Game crashing and freezing:


    If you have a crash/freeze when playing Watch_Dogs, please send us your save game files which are located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames".

    If the game crashes and you get the "Watch_Dogs has stopped working" dialog, click on "View problem details".





    This will show some technical details about the crash.
    Select *all* the text (by clicking inside the text box, and pressing Ctrl-A), then copy it to the clipboard (by pressing Ctrl-C).

    Please update your existing Support ticket with that text; this will help the programmers see where the game crashed.

    If you have not yet contacted support - you can do so at www.support.ubi.com





    Advanced users can also send us a mini-dump, which will help the programmers pinpoint the crash more precisely.
    To do so, you will have to install "Process Explorer" from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896653.aspx.

    When the game has crashed, and the "Watch_Dogs has stopped working" dialog appears:
    Open Process Explorer, then right-click on Watch_Dogs.exe and select "Create Dump", and then "Create Minidump..."

    This will allow you to save a Watch_Dogs.dmp file. This file, once compressed, should not take more than 2-3 MB, so you should be able to email to us.
    If the file is a lot larger, that means you probably accidentally clicked on "Create Full Dump...".





    To upload your files to your Support case, follow the instructions below:

    - Click on this link: http://support.ubi.com
    - Type in your Uplay login name and password and click Login. Click on 'My Questions'
    - Click on 'Ask a Question' and choose the appropriate Platform/Product, Category, and Subject/Question
    - After you have explained your issue, please click 'Choose File' and upload your save file from your computer
    - Finally, click 'continue' to complete the process

    Once we receive your save files we will forward them up to the development team for further review.

    It seems that hackers were able to access the game's leaderboards. We have recently fixed that. Leaderboards back to normal now.
