My connection is a shade slower and i can host 12 all day no problem. i can even host 16 but i do get occasional lag so i think you should be fine for a full room.

about 8, and there is no way someoen under 386 is hosting 12 without others (except hsot) seeing lag. Since the packet requirments exceed that, your bandwith will not handle it. 12 requires at least 500k up. I lvoe when peopel with a 386 or lower upstream state they can host 12-16, but when you join it is nothign but lag. I run on a dedicated T1 and if you are laggig nto me, you are lagging plain and simple. THe host won't see any lag, but believe me, thsoe not local to you will. minimal is 50k up per connection for a stable game. That is pushing it also

Thats not entirely true. My upload is just a little better and my download is a little less and i can host 16 with little lag. For me if any has any lag I'm always the first to see it. Also if there is any lag in my servers i get the worst of it almost 100% of the time. wierd i guess.

I've got 600k cable modem, yet I can't host more than 6 players without it lagging! Any thoughts on that one?

I've got a Pro package from my cable company which claims to offer up to 10mbps down & 1mbps up. When I first hosted a game for 12 everybody complained about lag, just like before when I had the origional internet package. Apparently the problem is that my ISP isn't an Xbox Live "compatible" service. And from what I hear, upload packets are cached and then sent out rather than being directly sent to their destination (which of course would cause lag). I can't say for sure if that's what your problem is, but it's mine - and it blows. At the very least, I can still play.
