Here's a stupid question...

When you are playing live, WITHOUT sensors, what makes enemies show up on your map? Is it if they see you? Do they have to be standing? They show up periodically and I was wondering what particular activities or circumstances cause them to show up on the map. I'm on an XBOX, if that makes a difference.

To The_Squeasel,

I'm a PC gamer and it should be the same but if it's not then Claudeboy88 will be along to give you the correct info.

The enemy will show on the command map when you come within 40 meters of them while they are moving. Should they stand still then they will disappear from the command map. If the enemy goes prone then they will also fade out of being seen on the command map. Remember that if you have a soldier near a tango and your on the other side of the map and you check your command map then you still get to see them as present on the command map.

Thanks. I had somepeople tell me that it was "if they saw you" etc., and I knew that was wrong. I also thought maybe it had to do with the report of their weapon, but what you said makes sense.

I sometimes try to trick my opponent by walking one direction when they appear on my map, then I drop prone and back track on my belly, I can sometimes sneak up behind them as they wait for "me" to appear. I just wanted to know the specifics on the whole tango showing up on the map deal.

you got it snipe...it works the same on all the consoles....

They appear in the map when your team senses them (see, hear)even behind walls. Your team can sense them at around 70 meters or higher.

They wont appear when they are not moving.
