My wife was kind enough to make me some eggs. she was making 4 eggs... and the first 3 were ALL double yolk eggs! Some people have gone years without even seeing one. I was on the web and people are saying it's a sign of good luck. GOD I hope so.

Ever heard of 3 Mile Island?

Hehe that's what I was thinking. Still you gotta wonder about the odds. It's not like the carton of eggs got sorted by which ones came from the same chicken and when. They were likely all from different chickens. Hmmm... wonder if these chickens came from an uncharted island somewhere in the south pacific...

Wow, so like three of your breakfast eggs may have grown up to be 3 sets of twins??? Double yolk eggs are not that uncommon from what I've read on the net. And some hens produce more double yolk eggs than others. But the fact that you had three in a row from the same carton is pretty amazing!
If you want to do a bit more reading on double yolk eggs, etc...take a look at this!

Bon appetite!
