I've finally found the Achilles heel of the LOMAC Moscow battleship. Load up a few Hornets or Vikings with AGM-84E SLAMs at high-alt and have them let fly at stand-off range. The missiles cruise in MUCH lower than any other NATO cruise missile in the game, for some strange reason, and will remain undetected by the Moscow up until it's too late.
For the same reasons why I don't think the Aegis not being able to intercept supersonic cruise missiles isn't realistic, so isn't this. I know subsonic missiles, by their nature, fly lower, are smaller and stealthier than their supersonic counter-parts, but this is overkill. Every single SLAM (8, to be exact) struck home, engaged only by the CIWS.
Just thought people would like to know. Now, if anyone wants to create a mission of a naval battle between two opposing coalitions, at least they now know that the Moscow isn't invincible.
Good luck and good hunting![]()
