Why is it everytime I open a level in sandbox a window labeled "ERROR REPORT" opens and lists missing objects, textures etc.? is this supposed to happen?....why r they missing?...I'm a newb to all this and just want to know if theres something I'm not doing right.

Could you explain the exact process you are following, step by step, before you encounter this problem?

I open Sandbox and then go to "file>open> and choose a level to open...after the level loads I get the window popping open which says "error report" and it give a list of some objects or textures that are "missing"?..I can "close" the error message box and fiddle with the program...just wanted to know why it occurs.I'm a complete newb and am just experimenting with sandbox for now...have'nt read the manual yet(trying to find a cheap way to have it printed out..KINKO's want $170 to print it..my printer is too slow to do it) Thanks for the reply

Most levels generate errors (warnings), and if they are not critical you can *probably* ignore them, but I say that with a very big caveat!

If you see there red sign in front of error line,it a quite serious error and should be fixed.
if it is just a yellow triangle icon, its a warning, it is better to be fixed for final mp version, but not a must.
You could also double click the line in this error log to select a problematic object or material.

...and just to comfort yourself, use the check for erors function off the menus as you go. If that says it's ok, then be cool, everything works fine.
