I recently heard that the folks in the north east US will be seeing 41F below zero windchill tonight. That is cold no matter how you think of it. I hope you all stay covered and warm.

How did I end up in the -50 to -60 degree zone? Oh right...big lake. And we ran out of fuel yet again this morning. House was down to 50 when hubby decided the oil company was taking too long to get here and went and got more before it got any colder.

We've been advised to stay inside and schools are closed.

Schools are still open here and we have exams beginning tomorrow! And the plan is for primal scream to go on tonight too...

Oh the colleges are still open, it's the public schools that were closed. Danger to the kids waiting for the bus and very expensive to heat the school.

Today isn't quite as windy so most schools just delayed opening. Still advised to stay indoors unless you have to go out and to make sure you are bundled from heat to foot. Babies, elderly and those with breathing problems stay in...that kind of thing.

Oil in the tank, coffee in the pot, work to do...I'm not going anywhere.

I am glad I have moved. It can feel cold her as well, but that is just because of the wind. I went to Oslo last week and was amased by the amount of snow...and suddenly remembered how it usually is around this time of year...cold and lots of snow. Last year when P was visiting, in January, it was 22 degrees C below ....in the middle of the city...mid day....
I don't miss it

Add9, great to see you! We've only had about 8 feet of snow so far but it was a lot warmer not to long ago and we had a lot of rain. I'm always happier when it is snowing.

And I wonder why everyone thinks I'm crazy! I was born in a cold month in a cold area of the country. I've always had snow.
