    Doesn't always work. I installed from disk and didn't update and I still have random black screen crashes anywhere in the world.

    Here's my take on it-

    I've been in contact with support for weeks with a similar problem. It's the same type of crash, though mine happens as I enter sequences or load cutscenes. I've been able to bypass it for the moment by reinstalling the game but the crash quickly reoccurs and I'm stuck again, unable to move forward in gameplay. The exact same crash Mike experience has happened for me aswell as I was attacking a fort, though It wasn't essential for the story-line so I could move past it.

    To get to the bottom of this, we've gotta rule out some factors and check out the similiarities. However, in this case I think there's nothing we can do to actually correct the problem- since we're dealing with, as other people besides me also have pointed out, a seemingly broken game here.

    The similarities are key to solving this, and ruling stuff out. We have the same graphics card- I'm also using the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760. If this isn't a coincidence- that the only other person I've found with the same type of problem has the same graphics card, then it likely has something to do with the game not "likeing" this particular model. The only thing we can do in that case is to try to roll back to earlier drivers and see if there's any luck - but I'm not gonna bother doing that- or we can report this and hope they will fix the compatability problems in a future patch.

    If you read this and have the same problem- check out your graphics card, is it Geforce GTX 760? In that case we can almost be sure that's the problem. Please reply with a link to your graphics card if you have the same problem.
