Hi, I've been trying to use my steering wheel pedals as rudder in IL2, but I can't get them to work.
When I have to set rudder pedals in the controls menu, how do I assign BOTH my pedals to the rudder function. If I press one of the pedals, then it's this pedal and I mean ONLY this pedal which is given the rudder function, if it's not pressed, full rudder to one side, half pressed no rudder input, and full pressed full rudder to the other side.
How can I tell the sim I want both pedals axis to the rudder function?
I hope I explained it ok. Thanks in advance.

HxPrey, I don't believe you can use your racing pedals as rudder pedals. If you have the kind with a switch they might work ok, but seeing we don't know the brand we can't help too much.
I have a set of CH Pro gameport pedals and they have a switch on them so they can be used in racing games. For flying I have them connected to my Cougar HOTAS and they work great.

Actually, I have been using my wheel pedals for rudders for a couple of years now - you shouldn't need to do anything special to make them work. Just go into the FB controls setup (HOTAS section), click on the rudder setting and press one of the pedals - although you won't see any indication that FB sees your wheel or pedals before you do this, when you do it the game should recognize the input and you will see a new entry next to your rudder setting that says something like ID2 Z axis or something like that.
There were some threads in these forums a long time ago about this, so you may be able to search and find them if you need more details. IT's well worth getting this working - racing pedals don't work exactly the same as "real" rudder pedals, but they beat the heck out of twisting the stick or using the keyboard for rudder control, and if you already have a wheel, they're FREE

Yes yes I already did that. Maybe I didn't managed to explain it correctly. I press one pedal when I select rudder controls in the hotas section, and says Z axis ID2, but then only this pedal works, unpressed full one side rudder, half pressed neutral rudder and full pressed full other side rudder. The other pedal does noting. Thanks for your help anyway.
Basically, my two pedals are recognized as TWO axis, then, I can only set ONE axis (one pedal) to the rudder function.
Btw, I'm using an old Playstation wheel using a Playstation/Pc USB converter. Works fine on racing games but just wanted to try in FB.

hey, I have logitek wingman formula gp wheel and pedals, in the wheel's setup software, you can combine the two pedals as one axis. go to your installation \ setup section and see if you can do this.

Yes I guess I should find a way to combine the two pedal axis into one, but I'm afraid I can't, as no software is provided with the USB converter. Well thanks everybody that tried to help, it's appreciated.
