DK259,
I hope this helps, because I have a linksys router. You need to either forward the ports 7777, and 8777, UDP protocol to the game server (Dedicated or Not). Or you could place the game server in the DMZ of the router allowing it to be seen by ubisoft and everyone else.
You may also have an option for block Lan request, or soemthing like that configured on your router. You have to disable this so that everyone gets a reasonable idea of the ping to your server. If not it looks like your server has a ping of 1000 (aka no one will ever play there).
Check your router manual (for port forwarding, DMZ, and Block Wan Request) and you should be good to go hardware wise.
Configure your firewall (software/hardware) to allow UDP 7777 and 8777 (or the ucc.exe or ravensheild.exe programs) and to allow ICMP echo (PING)
That should be a good start and should get you working

I hate to break it to you but you're going to have to read the book for your router, or RTFB (Read The F#$KING Book). As I see it these are your two choices. Sorry man.
