I recently purchased RVS and I must say what a great game. I have encountered a problem though with using your v1.52 patch.

When I run it in single player it works. When I try mp I get a black screen that refreshes and makes my mouse cursor movement draw a blue box on the black screen.

I had v1.0 -v1.51 installed, then I used v1.51-v1.52 to update. I have updated punkbuster many times and ran the RVS update file located inside the RVS/system folder many times also.

The problem is once the game refreshes my RVS stops responding under task manager. Below is my system specs:

Windows XP (Home Edition)
Pentium 4 2.5Ghz
Geforce FX 5600 256MB DDR (Asylum)
1.0 Gig of DDR 400 Crucial RAM
SB Live Audigy 2
(2) 120 Gig Western Digital Caviar Hard Drives
Pioneer 16x DVD
Altec Lansing 256B Surround Sound Gamer System

Is the Geforce FX 5600 video card supported for RVS? I have the latest 53.03 nvidia video drivers installed

All hardware drivers are up to date from the manufactures websites.

Edit:

I just reinstalled RVS using the patch v1.0 - v1.52 and it has removed the mouse movement error where it draws a blue box, but now the problem is it sticks at the black screen until it times out, giving me a connection failed message.

RVS.exe is allowed Internet Access
RVS Updater is allowed Internet Access
PBWEB is allowed Internet Access
UCC is allowed Internet Access

Nothing seems to fix this problem, please help!!


I have tried joining games on ubi in 2 different ways. With Punkbuster and without Punk Buster... I use the following filter on ubi

VERSION: PATCH 1.52 (build 381)

both of these return a connection failed message
