Soon it will be 3 months since release of assassin's creed 3 for pc. Since the very first day it is known the game have serious problem with performance, in other words bug is known as "fps issue".
What we know so far?
-it is related to low gpu utilization, for some cases to low cpu/cpu cores utilization and for other for both units low utilization
-it is related to water, in zones close to water or on water you can have stable 60fps (with v-sync) or even more, out of water you can have constantly under 30 fps (range 5-30)
-it is hardware independent, doesn't matter if you have intel or amd hardware or intel or nvidia, geforce 630 or radeon hd7970, amd athlon x3 425 or intel core i7-3770k, same problem
- it is driver independent - nvidia released driver updates, same amd, and if anything changed so that was only few fps and probably these few fps were mistake at measurement
Lots of reports were posted on forums, lots of them also went to ubisoft "support" and in my opinion ubisoft have too much info to get know they did broke in game and what they should to fix and how to fix it.
We've read at this forums many times words "devs are aware". Ok ubisoft, we, the gamers, the users, THE CUSTOMERS, we are aware of devs are aware. Many users here posted info about they will vote with their wallets and will never, anymore, buy any ubisoft game. Yes, i am one of them and is a lot of us, you should be aware of this we will not buy your games anymore and last thing we want, what we payed for is...
some more info than "devs are aware", we already know it. We want official statement on performance issue a.k.a. fps issue, statement should include information: are you doing anything to fix it? If you are doing how is progress going? We need ETA. Only statement having these informations will be accepted as satisfying one.
I think this time you should listen to us and if there will be no statement of this kind, we, as customers will go further, i hope so.
