I just thought we could make a topic where people could suggest improvements and ideas about the appearance of the board.
As I have said in the other topic, id quite like to have a bit of a colour change, the dark earth colours aren't very aesthetically pleasing.
Maybe we could have something bright and appealing. Not too bright, but subtly attractive!

Actually Dan, the colour it is now, fits in well with the banner, and I can see the typing well!! It also is a good background colour for the colourful avatars and signatures.

make it all the same cream colour as the banner then. at least the light bits of it.

I like dark forums, Things such as smiley's look better on them. My fat soldier colour is always dark blue

i find it hard to read the writing in the dark coloured posts... i always like colours such as light blue and white...
also maybe a thing like over at chris's with the star rating system and different names?

my view:
yay to brigheter colours... its is proven by web usability studies that white, and brighter colours are easier to read.
nay to any kind form rating system be it for users or threads as it promotes nasties
