Darn glad to replace the FX5600XT for the 9800XT. I'm sure that I will be able to play Far Cry with a much more stable card and am looking forward to it arriving. Got it at a good price...$310.00 with shipping included. Buh bye nVidia...hello ATI.

get another $90 together and get an x800pro its better then the 9800xt .... and will play the new games that are coming out better then the 9800xt...
Only problem is that I went to the limit on my upgrade funds on this computer for the 9800XT. My new comp fund is going for PCX system and waiting for the latest PCX cards. When I go...I'm going to go big. This is the last and best upgrade for this computer and I think I made a good decision. I am going to move away from AGP.

I still don't think it's worth it...
It's not much faster than a 9800pro for $100 less, and it's a good chunk slower than a ~$300 6800.

Okay, I'm convinced. As soon as the ATI 9800XT arrives in my mailbox, I'm listing it on ebay. I got a good deal for it and should make a few bucks as it is new and sealed.
What did I decide on? nVidia 6800GT. I did plenty of reading and it seems to be the best card for today...and tomorrow and the little I will invest should carry me for a ways.
