    Invalid CD key issues for Assassin's Creed III

    I bought the keys for Assasins creed 3 in steam deluxe edition(with seson pass). When I try to enter the key in Uplay appears error "a wrong key,"

    reference number 121123-001553 .
    date created 11/23/2012

    Hi mdalol, please allow 48 hours (not including weekends) you should however have received an acknowledgment email, please check junk folders. I have inquired about your ticket.

    Hello mdalol, I had the same issue and the support didn't answer so far.
    But luckily I just found the solution anyway.
    Steam -> Games ->View game library ->Assassin's Creed 3 ->a group of links on the right -> click CD key -> copy to clipboard
    As you can see this cd key differs from what you've entered to Steam and tried to enter in Uplay.

    In my case the key for steam looked like this XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
    While the key for Uplay was not the same key and looked like this XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

    I think that 48 hours have long expired and I would like to know why support can not answer? Have Ubi.Soft such small support staff or a large staff can not handle the many messages from users?

    Can you please make sure any instance of Uplay PC is closed on your computer, then start Steam and launch the game from there?

    Let me know if this fixes your issue.

    HI,It did not solve my problem but I decided to just in case reinstall Uplay and reinstalled on the same disk (disk C). It also did not help. Since the game is still not activated, I decided to try to install it on the same disk (disk F ) with Assasins creed 3 and game successfully activated. thank you all for your help. Hopefully someone can help this way.
