Sorry if these have been widely seen already...

Whilst looking at the site in the ha ha thread I came across this page(sorry, link opens in same page) which has some shots at the bottom of play using a character called FOX(on previous shots aka J DOE). Check em out, two of the characters also playing were wearing gas-masks.

Can anyone tell me if this is a selectable game feature or if these are pictures of new gear?

p.s some of the lighting in the other shots looks gaz, v.SCell!

Hmmm, one of the pictures has a clock in the hud.

Could this be that one of the missions could have been on a time limit?

Or do you have to dis-arm a bomb?

Not sure how the Xbox version will work, but assuming that it will be at least SIMILAR to the PC version...

The Gas Masks are a selectable gear item. One of the Grenade types is the Gas Grenade which chokes and disorientates those who are in it. But the Grenade has the same effect on friendlies that it has on enemies. The Gas Mask will eliminate the effects.

The team is probably wearing them because someone on the team is using Gas Grenades.
