The issue is that its encountering MORE PROBLEMS under
Win98SE than under WinXP or Win2K...

Folks...I recommend that you make the jump to WinXP Pro
as soon as possible. Its a much better OS overall.

It IS a better OS "over-all" ,but some of us are still in the dinosaur age and need to be (Jane's USAF anyone? Let's not even mention DOS!),and they are probably rightfully irritated that even ME (Which is still CURRENTLY supported through MS) does not seem to be able to run this game in it's full version. That being said I'm sure Stormin' and Co. are looking into it, and I would'nt be surprised if it doesn't turn out to be a prob. in Direct X or the newer drivers and the way they react to the DX calls. For those of you that can't wait I would suggest XP as spektre does,as this game is definately something to behold!

My Lock On seems to work fine on Windows 98 SE guys, I have downloaded the patches to decrease the FPS load and that's about it.

Only problem I have is to get a network game up and running between a XP system and a Windows 98 SE system.

The systems both communicate on the network, IP's ping fine - but Lock On simply does not see the other PC. I'm stumped here! Any advice from the guru's
