FC3's cover system questions and ponders.

im wondering about a lil something about FC3's cover system -
from what we've seen it looks like if you are clove enough to a low object and you crouch then your gun will be raised. then if you aim down the sites than you will pop slightly over cover and take aim, which allows an easy and fast way to get back to behind cover by NOT aiming. also if you try and shoot without aiming than you will sort of blind fire.
this seems to be the case when you are behind a low cover and as far as i've described it works like a 3rd person game, which is fine and great.

question is- can you also do these "cover actions" when hiding behind a tall cover?!
like if im hiding behind a wall and im close to the edge of that wall, can i just aim down the sights and have my character lean out and once i no longer aim down the sights my character goes back to cover?!
if there has been any sort of video that shows if this is possible or not i'd love to see it. in FPSs without any LEAN option having a way to quickly and comfortably lean out, fire, lean in could certainly be really helpful.

I don't see why not? I assume the cover mechanic works and is adaptive to most, if not all potential cover objects in the game, I doubt the mechanics of it will change much other than movement being sideways rather than up.

When behind cover the aim button will make him uncover and viceversa, the fire button will make a blind fire... is that simple

i see a reason why not - when u hide behind a low cover and hold AIM the game needs to do a very simple thing to make you pop out of cover - it makes rise and aim down the sights at a 90 degrees angle to the cover that hides you. it doesnt have to calculate anything complicated about the angle in which you aim or anything.
however when u hide behind a wall it's much harder for the game to understand a few things:
    1) which side should you lean to peek? behind low cover you can only rise up. there is only one direction in which you can pop out of cover. in a high cover like a tree or even a pillar the game might not know where you wish to lean. to make the game know the devs need to work hard on the system.
    2) what angle are you peeking at? when you lean out to the RIGHT from behind a wall you might want to lean in a small angle if the enemy is pretty far to the right, but you might want to lean much farther if the enemy is more hidden to the left. it's a more complicated calculation for the cover system.

these two points can be over come with a cover system based on cover nodes that the devs placed every place in the world behind every bit of cover (like in F.3.A.R), but that's a lot of work to do in an open world. in open world games the systems are usually systemic and built upon some sort of collision detection and i dont think that such a deep robust cover system exists in FC3. i think only a few specific low objects were designed as low cover locations and have cover nodes in them. everything else has nothing to do with a cover system.
also we've seen UBISOFT present the cover system of their game but always only on low cover. never high cover.

these are the reasons for my question.

Cover is cover, it would be useless if we only were able to rise over low objects to shoot. I'm sure it will work both ways

for now i assume that there is this sort of automatic cover system for low obstacles and no cover system for high obstacles like in 99% of the FPSs out there.
i really wish there will be a 1st person cover system but im not counting on it.
