Weapon wheel selection issue in Assasins Creed Brotherhood. | Forums

I am playing Assasins Creed Brotherhood in my PC but I am facing an issue with the weapon wheel selection. I have a USB game controller with me through which I am playing this game. The issue is that, I am not able to select the weapons from the weapon wheel that Ezio has. It defaults to hidden blade only. Though I have crossbow, sword, pistol & all other weapons with me, whenever I try to change my weapon, it again changes back to hidden blade. It never comes to empty hand also. But, surprisingly, I am able to select medicine through the weapon wheel, but not any other weapon.

I have finished playing AC2 with the same game controller & on the same PC without any issues. I never faced any problem with the weapon wheel with AC2. I configured all the keys in ACB, the weapon wheel highlights a weapon but never gives it. Its like i am playing the game with only the hidden blade.

Kindly suggest if there is a way out to this problem, because playing such a wonderful game with just hidden blade is very difficult

I recently bought A/C Brotherhood, which i use on my PC and have found exactly the same problem with my weapons wheel. I can change weapons using the quick select keys but when i want to choose an alternative weapon i.e.- smokebombs or whatever. it changes back to the original weapon. Anyone out there with an answer to this one as it's anoying to say the least; plus it's spoiling progress through the game. Never had this problem with A/C2.:confused

Hi, I think that i may have answered my own question now, with regards to the weapon wheel selection problem! Anyhow, if this is a help to anyone else with the same problem then it's worthwhile.

What i discovered more by accident than anything is that you need to decide what weapons you wish to use for a particular mission. Then press the Weapons Wheel (Hatswitch) select your chosen weapon with the X-Y axis joystick. Then when you have decided which weapon you want, press one of the Quickslot buttons to assign that weapon to that button, when you release the Quickslot button the chosen weapon is assigned to that button and is readilly available, until such times as you change for something else! Works for me anyway!
