Yea, but that is kinda the difference between CoD and Battlefield, in CoD you always get shot in the back, in Battlefield one team spawns on one side of the map, the other team spawns on the opposite. You should never really get shot at from behind, and if you do, you will probably just get knifed anyways. So there is never any point in time where i have to whip around quickly to kill someone who is shooting me in the back, cause I would already be dead, and same goes for when i am shooting someone in the back, they are dead long before they could turn around. Any other scenario other than completely turning around i will beat most on the draw. I can even out shoot snipers most of the time.

No method of control is superior, its all personal skill and preference.

You can hear the enemy coming or shooting and you may have time to react promptly with a mouse

You don't need a mouse to turn around quickly.. Just turn the sensitivity up. The truth is, M/KB is not better then a controller and vice versa. It's all about what you like more. A M/KB isn't going to stop you from making stupid choices that get you killed. I mean, does it really matter what you're using when you're constantly being out-smarted by other players?

I'm part of a certain PS3 game's beta right now and that game allows users to play with a controller or KBM. Keep in mind, I DO NOT use aim-assist in any game that lets me turn it off. Anyway, I play that PS3 game with a friend who likes his KBM and I use a controller even though I suck with the PS3's controller. I'm doing way better then my friend because I'm a better player. I don't make silly choices that get me killed all of the time.

being a good player is a combination of good aiming and hand eye coordination and good playing style (making good choices on the fly).
i will forever believe that with a mouse you are better than how you'd be with a controller in the aiming departure if you were given the same amount of time to practice both devices.

kinectimal - i am pretty sure that if you were to practice a little bit and play with a M.KB against your friend you'd win as well.... or visa versa - let your friend play with a controller and he will suck more

but the point of this thread i made is to express my absolute hatred to the fact that on the PC of FC2 you can NOT turn off the aim assist. i hate this feeling of the game aiming for me with such a passion i cant barely express it on the forums without resorting to word that will be replaced with Astrixs later. i prefer missing a full magazine due to poor aiming than killing 3 guys in a heart bit because the game aimed for me on their body.

i've been watching the FC3 videos on youtube and every one of them had a sticky aim like in FC2 on. im completely worried that onthe PC i wont be able to play with a controller from my bed on my TV and actually aim for myself.

UBI, please dont treat me like a crosseyed noob who needs crutches to play. let me turn the Effing aim assist OFF!

I just hate aim-assist because it causes more harm then good. Like, when an enemie steps infront of someone you want to shoot and it spazzes out. Also, it makes headshots a pain in the *** because, pretty much all aim-assists tend to pull into the torso area and you have to fight with it it.

Really, nobody needs aim-assist. If you're playing an FPS, you should already know how to aim using your controller. I mean, aiming is the most important part in an FPS. Everyone should know how to do this or they should get wrecked like they deserve. lol
