So I just bought GRFS (xbox) from a friend and from what I understand I need a Uplay code to play online.

I have seen several being sold online for a couple bucks, so no big deal I guess.

My question is, does the Uplay code need to be specific to the console (Xbox/ps3) and specific to the game, or are ALL codes the same and will work to get me online?

The ones I've seen online say they are for Assasins Creed and ps3. So will a ps3 Assasins creed Uplay code work on an Xbox for GRFS online gameplay?

No. Each code is for the respective game. However, entering it on either the PS3 or Xbox or PC, will only enable it for that GamerTag/PSN ID or PC (I'm guessing since I don't play Ubisoft games online on PC except DRIVER).

If i buy a game on PC, and i have registrated it, can i use it later on XBox or Ps3? Because if i can't i'll wait, and i will only buy the game, when i have my Xbox.

Actually, you can still play online without entering the code if you want to give it a try. The Uplay Passport will be required to progress above level 5 in multiplayer and will give you access to all modes and features.

The codes are specifics to the games (an ACR code will not work for GRFS) and are different for PS3 and Xbox (a GRFS PS3 code will not work for GRFS Xbox). And they usually also are region specific (code from the same region as you game or PSN/Xbox account).

Of course, I can only recommend that you get the code directly from the game or from the Marketplace/PS Store

If I understand your question well, no, registering a game on PC will not give you a free copy of the same game on PS3 or Xbox.

Codes are one use only - when you purchase the game, you should get a code - unless you have purchased second hand.

If you have purchased it new and didn't get a code - contact the retailer.


No one here will be able to simply give you a key.
