Angry Why change voices why not introduce new characters??

I mean think about it instead of messing with peoples voices this would have been a great oppertunity to reboot the franchise indroduce a new lead character. Sam fisher (micheal ironside) could still be the head of 4th echelon but more of a lambert role and then we have the new guy in the field who was trained by fisher so will have all of his moves and is younger and you could add new moves that he has developed himself.

Same for Grimm if Claudia Besso didn't want to do it indrouce another new character sam said he didn't trust her at the end of conviction perfect way for her to be written out.

Messing with the voices ruins the continuity its already hard enough with all the different versions of the same game but it is still possible to make sense, now however you expect me to believe that a man pushing 50 is as agile as a 20 year old and sounds completely different but is if fact the same person!!

If Ubi were to reboot Sam shouldn't be in the game at all.

Don'tget me wrong here but it's just that at the end of SCC he decided to retire didn't he?

^ Last thing we witnessed in SCC was Sam breaking in and rescuing Vic Doesn't sound like he was ready to retire.

true but more people would complain if they made a splinter cell game without sam fisher in it this way it makes more sense or their way which makes no sense

@Merrill I think we both know that was JUST to save Vic since he said to Grim that he's out anyways.

And if you listened in during the credits you can hear a conversation:

^ haha, that was great! I'd never seen that before. Well they did mention the Blacklist would have to be so threatening that it would bring Sam out of retirement. His only conditions were that he answers to no one but the president.

    Here we go again...

I'm over the Ironside thing. At this point...I just want the game to play the way I hope it will. If MI was the voice...it'd be so much better yes. But if it had him and was just another SCC -- it still wouldn't be SC to me. This isn't the OP's fault I assume, he probably hasn't been on the forums to see all the discussions but in general it's just....ughhhh.

With he introduction o f Meggido, at least the 'kind' of entity it was supposed to be, it was clear by the end of SCC that Sam's deal wasn't complete. It was also very evident that there wasn't anyone else that could be trusted with the Nation's best interests.

In spite of those facts supporting more of Sam Fisher, I think that a big decision was made to completely embrace a modernizing of the franchise. A big decision was made to keep Sam, to refresh Sam and his cohorts somewhat, and orient the franchise in a direction that is conducive to an expansion of both the Player base and entries in the Sam Fisher history logs.

I do feel like SCB is the new beginning for SC, even though SCC was the pathfinder. SCC I think may end up being remembered more as a bridge between the classic and the new, rather than the definitive 'new' version of SC it was seen as to this point.
I may be thinking that because it will kind of be the point at which Sam stopped his progression in aging from the old days, and also perhaps the last game that really uses old story elements and arcs to fuel it's own telling.
For some reason I think that Vic and Grim are the new old friends and that we won't be hearing much more about Sarah and Lambert and all that. Like those trails have been completed.

    We shall see.

    ^ Thats actually pretty interesting.

On the topic of Meggido, maybe because they had failed in their plan to take over the U.S.A Politically they will want to destroy the entire nation itself.

    Just a thought though.

Since Sam clearly wasn't finished after the events of SCC, all of us expected him back, I will be honest, I didn't expect him back like this, I thought SC6 will take place soon after SCC ((like SCB)), but Sam will still be operating alone and still look old, while Grim is handling the new 3rd Echelon, I thought we may deal with Megiddo now.

Also not everyone favors Sam as Lambert, I really don't like that idea at all.
