    Personal Age book

Remember in Myst V, when you could write in your own personal journal, and attach screenshots to it?

I've been wondering if anyone's come up with something like that for PC, or better yet, tablets. Android. iPad, etc.

A way to tap in personal journal entries, combined with screenshots either added from memory or taken on the fly.

Has anyone done anything like that? The Myst V version was actually just an HTML file with thumbnail pictures of large size, and a nice "handwriting" font. It in theory should be do-able, I just don't have a clue how to do that myself. Plus, of course, adding support for pictures.

Just a thought, and of course, wondering if anyone's already done it.

With Windows XP, I use WorkPad in where I can write as much as I want.

It is possible to paste an image in WorkPad with a special procedure as follow...
1- Choose an image in your image folder,
2- Right click image and choose the option ===> "Open with Paint"
3- when seeing the image in the Paint window, go to "Edit" in upper menu and
4- choose "select all". (you should see dotted lines all around the image)
5- Right click that image and choose the "copy" command line.
6- Open (or go) to your WorkPad page, choose the spot where you want to paste your image, right click that spot and use the "Paste" command.

This way, you can create as many WorkPad pages as you desire which can be printed and use to create a book. (text and image(s))

Btw, I have no experience with other none Microsoft Windows harwares or softwares.

    1- New info:
If you can use "Printscreen", you could create images of text & image by printing your desktop-display and then print those images at a chosen resolution of your liking

    Sample image in WorkPad...

    2- P.S.
Did you know that in Uru Solo/Offline, you do have a Journal-Book ?

You can find it on the bottom shelf, right side at the left of the shelf after entering your Relto. But as far as I know you can write text but cannot paste images in the journal.

But you could use printable screenshots of the open journal and for resizing and enhancing my images I use the free photo editor application called IrfanView.

I know one of our long-time members, Stellaflora, has done a lot of work on re-creating Uru paraphernalia. I seem to remember he did create something along the lines of the journal, but I'm real hazy on the details and whether it actually worked or not. I'd suggest doing a search on his posts for "journal," but I have not had very good luck doing searches in these forums since the platform change last winter. Maybe yours will be better than mine, though.
