Thread: We can all forgive Ubisoft | Forums

  1. #41
    You know what strikes me?
That so many people are still very adamant in displaying their grudges against how the way Ubisoft handled the develeopment and release of HOMM6.
I think I was scammed into buying the beta version of the game as well and I sure as hell won't be buying an overpriced DLC.
The sad thing is: "There are so many people like me who love the series to death (Started with KB myself) but see the Might and Magic brand sliding down a slippery slope because of the greed of Ubisoft".
Everyone that bothers to complain after so much time has passed since the release of the game obviously cares for the series deeply; sadly however, I don't see the series recover from the latest blow that's been dealt to it.
I guess we'll have to wait until Ubisoft is done milking the brand and it will be given into the hands of people who actually care about what Jon started so long ago......

So according to Yves Guillemot only 5-7 percent of the people playing ALL Ubisoft games actually pay for them? I have a question then. How do they make enough money to stay in business?
Better to ask forgiveness than beg permission.

You are the only one trolling, and the only one so far with opinions that are positive of UBISOFT. Perhaps if you had played this game back when it was released you may have a better idea why be KNOW, not believe, that UBISOFT doesn't care about us players at all. To call 95% of its user base filthy, lazy thieves is not one of the best business solutions on the planet. Arthyen you should really watch your condescending tone, a few well placed complaints could get you banned from this forum, it has happened before. Also, I love the "lopsided impressions" this comming from a noob to the game this month!

I think it is quite clear for everyone that the 95% was a lie.

It is not the first time an electronic entertainment company uses made-up numbers to justify treating paying customers like dirt out of greed. The others were simply smart enough not to exaggerate their exaggerations.

Banned? I doubt that they ban their own people.

Absolutely. Ubi should spend their money fixing bugs and improving the game instead of paying spin doctors. It´s narrow-minded and opposite to their own interests at long-term, as we can see nowdays. It´s a matter of the less common of the senses: The common sense.

Every time I visit here and see this thread title, my first instantaneous thought is "Nah".

I think that summarises this entire thing fairly well.

And... Mass Effect is not Ubisoft's game. So no bugs there left unpatched for ages. Thank god.
I've seen Ubisoft's attempt at "free-to-play" games.. Heroes Kingdoms (based on the HOMM5 game). Started off doing well, you get most features but paid a small $5 subscription per month if you wanted the full experience.

But no, that wasn't good enough for Ubisoft - they wanted more money, and introduced micro-transactions. It's now deteriorated into a complete "pay-to-win" experience where every single part of the game has the ability for you to spend money to get an advantage over other players (and all the highest ranking players have gotten there by spending a lot of money).

The Australian server in it's first game had thousands of players - but now as it is about to move into the 4th version of the game, it will be lucky to have even a hundred players. I now consider Ubisoft to be the worst example of "free-to-play" web-based games I have ever seen.
