Who thinks their should be a Guns N' Roses DLC

I think this would be a great addition to the game. Slash uses tons of fun techniques in his riffs, he also has amazing pentatonic scales. I think it should be Sweet child O mine, Welcome to the jungle, and paradise city which has a great intro riff. Post your thoughts below

Take it up with Axl Rose, he's the one that hates Slash and people that want to license recordings before Chinese Democracy.

Do you have a source for the claim that Axl is blocking the licensing of pre-CD GnR songs to music games in general or RockSmith in particular?

Don't know whether it was Axl himeself, or lawyers working on his behalf, but Justinguitar had some video lessons on his site showing you how to play some GnR songs and he was made to take them down. Same with Bob Dylan.

What leads you to believe that would be Axl or his lawyers? It could be, but take-downs usually don't come from the bands. Moreover, that would almost certainly be done to prevent it from competing with tab books--and definitely wouldn't have anything to do with keeping older GnR songs out of music games.

Well.. there is actually a story to this. In Guitar Hero III, it had GnR songs that they had got permission to use from Axl.. cept Axl didn't know that slash was going to be in the game.. worse yet, it had slashes digital self playing the song they had acquired.. so low and behold that ticked off Axl right quick. So I dont think we'll be seeing any GNR anytime soon.

I believe he actually tried to sue them too and lost.

As much as I love old school GNR. , I think I would not buy his DLC, just because I wouldn't want axl to get paid more for acting the way he does. way to destroy one of the highlights of 80's rock.

This pretty much sums it up for me also. Also the fact that I went and saw GnR 3 years back, or should I say Axl and the rest playing GnR, anyway, his voice sucked.

Because Justinguitar actually tried to negotiate with the lawyers when he got the takedown notice, explaining that the videos were not for profit and for educational purposes only, to see if some compromise could be made, but they were having none of it.
