Hi there, first time posting here.

I've been reading this forum for a while, mostly to get info about patches, changes in the game and future releases and I wanted to share an idea that's been in my mind for a time now, flexible recruitment.

Let's say that, for example, you don't like 1 unit in the faction you're playing. In my case, the Lamasu on necropolys (flying undead manticores...). Right now you end up having to recruit them, because numbers matters and chosing not to use one unit will only mean your army will be smaller and thus weaker.

So, the idea is: what if I could use the resources used on that unit to reinforce another unit. For example, I love vampires. What if I could chose to not receive any lamasu at the beggining of the week, but get some more vampires in exchange.

The trick here is to limit this mechanism properly to avoid abuse and keep balance. (this is the hard part, and may be the reason why this is not implemented)

First, this would only work between units of the same level (basic, elite and champion... well, actually never with champion units).

Then, when building your town you could chose to get one building for each unit (like now) or you could choose to build another vampire building instead of the lamasu building. This would increase the number of vampires you get weekly. (you end up having two vampire buildings but no room for undead flying manticores)

As this is done by building, one could not undo this change, unless an option to destroy buildings is added.

This way one could end up building more personalized armies/towns.

So, what do you think? Good Idea? Terrible idea? Madness?
