I agree with Hab_Fan, we would be better suited with more sub forums. Something like:

    Announcements (DLC, patches, etc)
Feedback/Support (Bugs, Enhancement Requests, DLC wishlist, Technical questions, FAQ)
Guitar (RS gameplay, general guitar discussion, weekly challenges)
Bass (RS gameplay, general bass discussion, weekly challenges)
    Gear (guitars, amps, pedals, etc)
Off Topic (life, sports, hobbies, news, whatever)

I think these would cover most common posts and allows users to easily place them in an appropriate forum. IMO, an off topic forum is long overdue.

I agree, too. We should have MORE forums to keep up with:

    D-Tuning Song Discussion Forum
Why Do G-Strings Always Sound Awful Forum
Guys who use their pinky finger to fret notes forum
    Guy who don't
The String Size Forum - for people to discuss the relative merits of different string gauges
    The Epiphone player forum
    The Fender player forum
    The Gibson player forum
    The PRS player forum
The Forum for Drummers who play guitar
The "I Want More Heavy Metal and ONLY Heavy Metal on RS" Forum (that's actually one I wish they would separate out). . .

You get the drift. It seems unnecessary. Guess I'll figure out where most of my friends hang out most of the time and just hover there - and discuss whatever it is that comes up there. Of course, the sort of precludes meeting many new people here - something I've enjoyed on this forum in the past.

What exactly does this accomplish? What is the existing problem that you're trying to solve? There isn't one. There' weren't too many posts in this forum to keep up with and having 3 forums doesn't improve the user experience. There's still a post on the front page of this forum that was last responded to 2 days ago. That's even with all the increased activity due to the patch and the multitude of posts about the forum reorganization. Once the dust settles, the posts on the first page of this forum will be even staler. Is that an improvement? I don't think so.

EDIT: and as of right now, the two other forums have a grand total of 4 posts that were responded to today (last 12 hours).
