Dave Mustaine ought to go back in time and meet the old Dave Mustaine. He needs to turn off Fox, think for himself and not let Fox do all his thinking for him. He needs to take a long hard look at the mockery that has become Ted Nugent and ask himself if that really is how he wants to end his career.

Rcole! I love you dude, but lighten up on those mod powers! You are all ready to close a thread and not a single insult or even jab was thrown by anyone to anyone... well accept Fox. I'll pull back my jab at Fox if that somehow is against the rules.
I remember way back at some political election of the past when MTV still played videos and the Rock the Vote stuff was going on and Mustaine was all over it and was clearly clearly leaning to the left in those days. Matter of fact, he was even taking jabs at Metallica for not getting in the game and being too apethetic to politics... MTV would show a tape of Hetfield responding and he was like whatever dude we just want to make music...!
Unlike Metallica, Megadeth has been very very consistent over the years. Easily for favorite thrash band when I take the entire cataogue into the equation. Maybe not the single best thrash album (Puppets would be my vote), but I do think he has the best single song. Holy Wars.
As long as that doesn't change, Mustaine can be as freaky as he wants to be. I just don't want it to impact his music and career.
What people don't seem tor realize.. or what dave doesn't seem to realize rather is that his words have weight and that what he says is going to bring that weight down upon himself and his band. Saying crap you see on fox news outloud is going to totally tick off some of their fans to the point they don't go out and buy their albums anymore.. celebrities dont seem to realize or dont seem to care at all what they say..they think they are to big to fail.. take for instance Mel Gibson.. fall from grace right? I dont wanna see it happen to my favorite rock bands.. there is a difference between having an opinion and force feeding it down everyones gullet (IE Ted). I don't want dave to turn into Ted for sure. He should keep his mouth shut and play guitar.

meh, it's only notable because he's speaking right wing instead of left like 95% of performers.
You don't like it for the same reason I won't see Springsteen live, even if I do like some of his music. I don't want to be preached at when i go to a concert.
edit: 95% of performers outside of country/western. If Uncle Ted were a country artist no one would bat an eye at his political and environmental leanings.
