    What the hell...

Have you heard about this news?

What does this mean for the future of this franchise, frankly I don't want to go back to play 2D games again, wtf...

While it is possible that all of these games are 2D (which would suck major balls, I admit), if the games use Adobe Flash or Unity, then 3D is not a problem and hasn't been for at least 3-4 years - you can have almost (not 100%, but still...) the same experience in a web browser 3D game as in a Windows game installed on your hard drive.

btw, this is not related, is there an item that adds +1 damage per unit, I know from previous games of this type that this enables weak tier 1 units to be viable in later game because of their number?

Using Flash is shortsighted. I'd go with HTML5. That way, you open the game for both ios and Android, since neither will support Flash any more, and smartphones and tablets shouldn't be ignored.

Yes, yes it does. It's one of the things they set out to achieve with HTML5: native support of graphics and media.

That's one of the reasons why Flash is being abandoned. And I would guess it will have better performance.
