    Problems and personal frustrations!

    Bloody Hell I hate this f***ing platform. Here is my story; I've numbered the issues to be clear what I am ranting about.

    Some time ago I got Assassins Creed Revelations on Steam which seem to installed Uplay although I did not really want it. But what the hell AC is a good game.

    1)I could not play AC because I wasn't able to login. I changed my password several times - no luck. Only when I learned one guy managed to login (why the f**k do i need to login to play single player game) by clicking login several times (like 10) and I manged to do same and it worked (wtf).

    2) I went to uplay website and tried to navigate it, it asked me for my credentials several times although I was already logged in. Why was I forced to do so on numerous occassions in one session??

    Recently I have purchased HAWX2 for £1 which started new amazing adventure with Ubi services:

    3) Confirmation of my purchase arrived on my email half a day later
    4) HAWX2 is not visible in my transaction history default view at all unless I view it by providing my email address (alternate view I guess)
    5) Ubi website said it has detected uplay PC on my system, but when I click on it... yep you guessed it f**k all happens. So I have to download Ubi PC which, again, I don't really want.
    6) During installation the client moaned some .dll is missing. Well that's a good sign...
    7) Installed Uplay PC. Starting HAWX2 download - failed. Repeat x5 same story.
    8) Uplay PC cannot detected my other games (all one of them - AC:R) saying 'unable to download game information'. F***ing brilliant.
    9) Tried installing HAWX2 again and thought it would be nice to play AC:R in the meantime but I cannot launch it because the client is already opened/used.

    So; massive WTF to Ubi. Why do you force this crappy imitation of steam (I have NO problems in steam, seriously I think it is awesome and I am not a fanboy) on users. It makes things so much more difficult.

    I can't even complete a single transaction hence I couldn't get HAWX2 ... ubi try to make uplay more popular with these offers I gues but their system is just NOT FINISHED / NOT WORKING !!! And the worst of all their customer support has no clue about their own system, how it should work, why it does not work, etc...

    terrible

    companies like ubi and ea should have stick to steam which DOES WORK. Origin and uplay does not...

    another update: I have an open ticket on THIS account to delete THIS account and ubi customer support deleted my other (the good one with games!!!! see above: arty1977online !) account.

    despite they have a written and strict process on account deletion which I followed word by word they did that mistake... unbeliveable!

    (I created 2 accounts accidentaly and this one I only discovered later on ... so I asked for deletion ... very curios how will they solve their mistake!)

    I am going to add to this picture of misery:

    Yesterday I bought From Dust for £1 using PayPal, which is fine with eBay and others, but so far have not received:
    a) receipt from PayPal
    b) confirmation of purchase from Ubi
    c) the f***ing game itself

    On top of that the only personal notification I have received, quitely counting on response from Ubi staff, was some silly spam message:
    'Hello dearest.,
    my name is Viviana i saw your profile today and became interested in you,i have an important issue to discuss with you. please contact me at *email address removed for security* so that i will send you my picture and tell you more about me, Awaiting for your mail to my email address above Viviana. '

    To all of you viewing this post in entirety; you can see how unprofessional this whole farse of a distribution method is. I just hope that guys responsible for Uplay will never touch any of Ubi games. Because that would be complete disaster.

    Hi guys, Sorry to hear you are having problems, I am looking into the issues with the Uplay discounted games. Please keep hold of any transaction details such as PayPal transaction numbers and screenshot your webpage receipts.

    I received an email today that it has been cancelled due to lack of payment for 3 days. There is nothing in PayPal history although I have seen it processing the transaction from uPlay. You have got an issue with PayPal, you have admitted it in another posts and more users are complaining about it as well.
    Why did ubisoft pump so much time and effort into broken distribution method? Surely all that resources could have been directed to make new games...

    aikicin, I had the exact same problem and received the same email today. I've been talking to support via email and was sent this "please navigate to your Paypal account and complete the payment" however there is no record in paypal and no way i can see of completing the payment. Also the email contained the only reference to the order number that i have received.

    And a email stating that the transaction would be cancelled if not paid would be more helpful, than of just cancelling it.

    Overall a very poor effort from ubisoft! Don't they want people to buy their software?

    Sigh... Good ol' Ubisoft DRM strikes again. In trying to protect their products and prevent them from being pirated, they only cause those same products to be pirated even more, and end up screwing over their loyal customers in the process. Fantastic business model Ubisoft, good job!
    I apologise in advance to Ubi-Mush, this wasn't directed at you personally, just Ubisoft in general and whoever is responsible for this rubbish distribution system.
