i downloaded it again from psn and had the same problem.

this is pretty disappointing. i guess this is the danger of trying it the first couple days out. it is just hard to believe that i paid for this. i would be more understanding if this was a free upgrade and had problems rather than something that i paid for.

It's seems after treating a new account that the problem is that the opening sequence doesn't occur on my old account. That unlocks the first venue.

Thanks for your help everyone, we're still trying to nail this bug down. Can you tell me if you downloaded the patch in game by clicking the Bass tile, or by finding it on the psn/XBLA dashboard?

If you create a new profile, does the new profile also have the error?
No it worked fine and i even was abble to play an event

yes i played wiht the patch for a day then i bought the upgrade and then went directly into the bass mode

no (dont know we could use cloud on the ps3

Are you able to play Bass through the songs menu? NO, the PS3 freezes. Pushing the PS button does nothing. The whole thing locks up.

Are you still able to play guitar? I never used the guitar. I bought the game when it came out and shelved it until the bass DLC was released. I bought the game knowing eventually I could use my bass guitars.

I deleted the update, reinstalled it, reinstalled the DLC but nothing changed. I can't play the game at all.

Loozers, you mentioned that, "I bought the game when it came out and shelved it until the bass DLC was released. I bought the game knowing eventually I could use my bass guitars." This would mean, I believe, that you never had the first update installed if you never played the game with a regular guitar and, I'm wondering if that may be the problem. Did the software ask you to install the first and second updates before continuing with the Bass expansion ? I don't think that the second update was cummulative, was it ? I do stand to be corrected of course.

I think someone was onto something when they suggested that this may be (another) PS3-specific issue. Not sure. I do know that it took about an hour for me to download the expansion on my XBox but when it was finished it worked great right out of the chute. My son played for 4 hours yesterday and I played a couple of hours last night. I played 4 events and reached Level 4 with no problems.

The only thing I've noticed that seems weird (and this may just be that I haven't reached the standard yet) is that there doesn't seem to be a Master Mode on bass. But, I suppose in this age of multiple forums, that's probably an issue I'll need to address in a separate Master Mode forum or somewhere. . .

In fact, there is MM on Bass... I played "All The Small Things", got 112k, and it gave me the MM version of that song.
