Does that mean. In the groove. It works that way on the guitar too. When you're there it seems like everything falls in place, and there is way more room between the notes. Everything just gets easier somehow.

Yeah, I was pretty sure that would not disappoint in the difficulty dept.

That's kinda right, it's like being "in the zone" except it applies to the relationship between all the rhythm players (you can't be in the pocket if you're playing by yourself or if you're playing a solo). It's essentially rhythm nirvana. It's the place where drummers and bass players go when they are making feet move, and it's the reason why bass players and drummers can play the exact same riff (with variations) for 10 minutes straight and not get bored. You know it when you're in it, and it feels glorious. Other then that it's hard to describe.

It does exist while playing guitar but I don't really find it as often when I'm playing Rocksmith guitar. There are only a few riffs from a couple of arrangements where it really feels like I can get in it, like the pre-chorus of Synchronicity II, the first verse of Bodysnatchers combo, and most of Chimney combo.

After playing the Jessica song (guitar) nearly 50 times over, I consider the chord break a "zone." You can pick your own rhythm through it and it lasts a good long while.

I decided, when they announced the DLC price, that I wasn't going to buy the bass DLC because of the (high, IMO) price, chose instead to buy the PC version in October. All these threads are whittling down my resolve on that decision. I've got to stay strong. Why do you people torment me so?

I finally have a couple more to add to the list:
California Brain: Hard Finger style - killer arpeggios with trills in them, and a killer fast peddling section bridge/solo, the only "rest" is in the chorus.
Burnished: Medium Hard Finger style - Tough Hammer on section, Tough walking section.
Plug in Baby: Medium Hard Finger Style - sliding fast 1-5-8 arpeggios and octave intervals. Good workout.

I suck at slapping. I had Higher Ground, and I pretty much miss every note.

The other bad song, was The Black Keys Mind Eraser. I like that song, but the detection stinks. I'm sure it is me missing the string skipping.

Let's see, in all honesty I needs lots of practice at Run Back To Your Side, that has some funky walks.

    Bass is hard m-k.
I heard they's a man there pays folks money to sing into a can.

OK, now that I've spent some considerable time with the bass content, these are my tiers so far:

Ridiculous: Higher Ground, Space Oddity, Freebird, Jessica

Tricky: California Brain (lots of 16th notes, but repetitive), What's Going On, Bodysnatchers, Are You Gonna Go My Way (all 3 are heavy on syncopation and subtle variations, easy to unlock the whole song but hard to master), Hanger 18 (fingers)

Easier but lots of fun: Cousins(fingers), Slow Hands, Barracuda (fingers), Step Out Of The Car, Fat-Bottomed Girls, We Share The Same Skies, Hanger 18 (w/pick)

"Run Back to Your Side" is a nice workout for both hands. Played "Freebird" tonight and agree that it's another good one.

Just did Jessica tonight. WOW!!! I just felt totally clueless.

The bass is makin' me feel very humble.
